Womanliness

Case 3

The exhibitional representation of this installation symbolizes the chronological distance from the present. The absence of the performer underlines her presence in the room, in every personal object or habit she had, in every little detail that can tell you something about her. I invite the viewer to wonder and get to know her through her environment. A space starved of oxygen, starved of life. This woman has captivated herself in memories of a life that didn’t happen as she was told. It represents a passive attitude towards life where you expect from someone else (a husband, a marriage, a child ) to blow air in your lungs . It is requiem of a life trapped in memories or about dreams made for you by someone else. And as she waited by holding her breath, time went by nothing stopped her, but she never moved.
